Woman Falls 23 Stories, Lands on Taxi, Survives

(AP) BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Witnesses state they glimpsed a woman hurl herself from the 23rd article of a Buenos Aires inn Monday and survive.

The woman set down in a seated place on the top covering of a cab whose person going by car got out just before the influence profoundly dented his top covering and shattered the windshield.

The woman, a 30-year-old Argentine, has wounds all through her body and is being treated in the crisis room of the Hotel Argerich, said Alberto Crescenti, controller of Argentina's Emergency Medical System.

The cab person going by car, who provided his title as Miguel, allegedly said he glimpsed a policeman looking up and that provoked him to get out just before the driver's edge of the vehicle was shattered by the woman's body.

Another cab person going by car, Juan Carlos Candame, notified Associated Press Television News that he glimpsed the woman ascend over a barricade and leap into the void.

The woman dropped from the peak of the Hotel Crown Plaza Panamericano, where a bistro overlooks the breakthrough Obelisk in downtown Buenos Aires.
