Bosses Day 2010

October 16, 2010 will be Boss's Day internationally. It is a day when employees are supposed to recognize their boss.

The holiday was founded in 1958 by Patricia Bays Haroski, but wasn't formally recognized until 1962 when Illinois Governor Otto Kerner backed Haroski's readjustment of the day as a holiday and declared it official.

In 1979, Stylemark started out to sell Boss's Day greeting identity cards, and they have been increasing the size of their stock taking almost annually since.

The rules of Boss’s day? You shouldn't pass a gift to your boss unless it is a group gift reached by a chemical group of employees. Otherwise you may look as though you are trying to "kiss up" to your boss.
