Retro Valentine! Date Night with Herb Alpert and Lani Hall

RetroRoadhusband, the beloved, just surprised myself with a wonderful Valentines gift – a couple of tickets for us to go notice Herb Alpert (regarding The Tijuana Brass) and Lani Hall (their wife and ex-lead vocalist of Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66.) These are two of my fave easy hearing / jazz 1960′azines music groups and I can’t wait to see the show at the particular historic Keswick Theater in Glenside Pennsylvania next Friday!

I used to listen to Whipped Cream along with other Delights while dance around the cellar when I was growing up, and that i’ve continued to be a fan of Alpert’s interpretations of standards and the originals. Sergio Mendes and Brazil 66′s recording Look Around is but one I picked upwards while thrifting whenever we were engaged being married and it always brings excellent memories!

We’lmost all start off the particular evening with several cocktails at our own fave vintage inspired bar / lounge / cafe The Blue Comet just later on from the theatre. We love the particular vibe and food there, and are usually so glad this particular rockabilly haven offers reopened.
