iPad 3 to Arrive This September

Even though Apple company hasn't yet even announced the second generation iPad, we are already hearing the initial rumors of the 3rd generation iPad. Those rumors seem to be able to suggest that The apple company is planning upon accelerating the iPad's release cycle with the third generation model arriving as early as this fall (Sept).

The buzz began when Daring Fireball's John Gruber mentioned how the new HP tablet may run up against the iPad 3's launch:

If my concept is right, they're not only going to be months behind the iPad 2, however , if they slip till late summer, they could bump up from the release of the actual iPad 3.
Gruber has recently been known to casually mention insider understanding which he confesses. In this case, however, he employs up to point out that this apple ipad 3 comment was simply a guess, and not according to any actual knowledge. He gives his reasoning for this type of quick turnaround among revisions:

Thus, my personal gut feeling is that Apple will proceed the iPad with a September release routine, alongside the ipods on the market. But they probably would not want to wait around over a year and a half from the headline of the unique iPad to declare the second one -- not with these stakes, and not with so many severe competitors trying their finest to catch upwards.
While that was the end than it, TechCrunch claims they have independently heard in which Apple will indeed be revising the particular iPad this drop:

We've now heard that this "fall surprise" is associated with this would-be iPad 3. Unfortunately we cannot have any much more concrete information past that. But, as of right now, the program is apparently to produce one iteration of the iPad in another few weeks. And blow the gates open with one more new version inside the fall.
Apple typically refreshes its product lines in predictable designs. The new apple iphone tends to be announced around WWDC of each year, while the ipod touch line is refreshed around September. It's been the very first year of the iPad, so everyone is expecting them to follow a yearly pattern around April. It seems Apple is following that timeline for the first revision, but may end upwards changing those principles this fall.
