If Saturday was an indication of what is to come today and Mon, 46 Post is on target to rake in some serious money. Office members and volunteers manned the entree booth near the entree to solid food fair and were kept hopping by a steady parade of customers in a sunny, windy Clarence Day.
"We do one thing at the fair and we do well," said Office 46 Commander Ed Wright. "The money we make will go us along the years." .
Spot 46 scholarship stores, donate apparels to the state vets infirmaries, new floras each year flags on the tombs of ex servicemen of Goshen, and has programs for ex servicemen recognition. It also has an active Ladies Auxiliary who works for the benefit of the community. Wright said that the post will cook 800 poundings of ground beefs and 400 poundings of hot dogs during the weekend. A few hamburgers and domestic dogs were cooked by Democratic gubernatorial nominee Dan Malloy, who ended in the countryside during his visit to the fairgrounds.
