R.I.P - "David Mills"

The noted journalist/producer/screenwriter David Mills passed away suddenly at the age of 48. David Mills was one of the great ones. He is perhaps known best for his work on the Baltimore-set HBO miniseries "The Corner," which he co-wrote and co-executive produced.

Nissan Leaf - Electric Car

Nissan Leaf is an electric car announced by Nissan. "LEAF" = "Leading, Environmentally Friendly, Affordable, Family Car". The Leaf uses a front-mounted electric motor driving the wheels, powered by a 24kW·h/90 kW lithium ion battery pack. The expected cruising range is the same as the EV-11 prototype, as is the motor. The battery pack is made of air-cooled stacked modules. Nissan claims that the car has a top speed of over 140 km/h (87 mph). The battery can be charged with 480 Volt, 220 Volt and 110 Volt sources.

Nissan Leaf will employ an advanced IT system. Connected to a global data center, the system provides support, information, and entertainment for drivers 24 hours a day. Nissan announced The Zero Emission Tour, with stops in 22 North American cities. At each stop on the tour, visitors were able to view the car and learn about the benefits of zero-emission driving.

Verizon iPhone 4G

Now Verizon iPhone 4G reports heat up once again. It all started in January 2010. In advance of the (then unannounced iPad) Apple press conference, industry analysts contended that Apple would announce (a) a launch of a new tablet product and (b) the expansion ofiPhone onto the Verizon and Sprint Networks.

One for AT&T and the other for Verizon. At that stage there were no suggestions of a name, but there has been an update to this story. It seems that the new Apple smartphone will be called the iPhone HD. The release date or announcement date is rumored to be on June 22, 2010.

Insiders say that Verizon will arrive months before AT&T with Verizon saying today 4G LTE will be available fall 2010 in 25-30 markets, expanding nationally to full reach by 2013.

Goliath Tiger Fish

A Goliath Tiger is a type of fish that you can find swimming in the Congo stream system in the Smoke Run area of PA by Candy Rock Mountain. The fish is has a rusty color red body and can grow up to 24 inches long.

It's like a rainbow trout, but a lot bigger and instead of a red/bluish stripe the entire fish is a rusty colored red. Local myths say that the strain of trout is a mutation called by all the sulfer from the coal mines. Old timers claim that the small streams that the unique species of fish live in once were filled with normal rainbow and brook trout.

The fish has built up a resistance to the sulfer and is the only fish that can live in water that has been contaminated by sulfer. Scientists are trying to study the fish to learn more about it. It's not known how many are thought to exist. The two streams that the fish inhabits are only a grand total of 1.4 miles combined in length.

NCAA Final Four 2010

There are two remaining games to complete the final four 2010. Will there be upset today? It is a trend that the bigger team losses because of inconsistency. We are at the end of the NCAA Basketball Tournament 2010 and Elite Eight will continue today with two games in our hands. Last night we have witnessed two upsets that shocked the world. Are we going to see another game with the underdog winning? We are still in the Month of March and March Madness 2010 will continue.

The first game of the Elite Eight 2010 Day Two is the Tennnesse vs Michigan State. It will be a defensive battle and we expect Tennessee to play with a full force. We cannot neglect the fact also that Michigan State has the firepower to beat Tennessee. Also another game which starts at 5:20 PM ET is the Baylor vs Duke. Baylor annihilated Cornell and they might be trying to do the same but of the tougher Duke.

Palm Sunday 2010

Nearly 2000 years ago when people on Palm Sunday were welcoming Jesus to Jerusalem they probably did not know how that day would forever change the face of Christianity. Today, about two thousand years later, in 2010 more than one billion Christians celebrate the Palm Sunday. Others are asking "What is Palm Sunday?" And the search goes on for the story. Here are five ways to celebrate the day with fulfilling spiritual reward.

First, let's see what is Palm Sunday and what is the story behind.

Palm Sunday is also called Sunday of the Passion. It starts the week of Passion with Jesus' entrance to Jerusalem. The Gospels according to Luke and John tell the story of the Palm Sunday. See the reading references below. Normally Jesus walked everywhere he went. At least that's what is recorded in the Bible. However, this is the only occasion when we see Jesus borrowing a donkey's colt and entering the city having an animal ride. Why Jesus took an animal ride while always avoiding the trappings of power is a topic for different story. However, one of the reasons is that he fulfilled the prophecy. See John 12:16.

While Jesus was entering Jerusalem the people were greeting him with Palms on their hands and saying Hosanna: a declaration of praise that originally meant "save now."

Bringing it home, today in 2010, here are five things one can do to signify the meaning of the Palm Sunday Story and live the day with fulfilling spiritual reward.

Start Palm Sunday by Going to Church. Small parishes celebrate the Mass or their Sunday services in the mornings. Larger parishes celebrate several services throughout the day. Churches usually have their service schedules on their website and also available for callers as an automated message. If one rarely goes to church, going to the Palm Sunday service today, will help better understand the meaning of the events of the upcoming week, called Holy Week. They will lead to the Passover, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Crucifixion and conclude with the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.

Make a good family mean and try to celebrate with friends. Sharing a community meal after a Sunday worship is a very old Christian tradition coming from the first century. Take your family home and prepare a dinner possibly involving your children, making it a family activity filled with joy and excitement.

Tell your children about Jesus. Tell the story of the Palm Sunday explaining how and why things happens the way they did. Contemplate on what it means for you and for your community in 2010, nearly two thousand years later.

Spend time reading the Holy Scripture. Bible readings about the Palm Sunday can be found at Luke 19:29-40 and John 12:11-19. There are many good online and offline sources that help to interpret the scripture. Sometimes questions arise, as the writings were written two thousand years ago in a different cultural and social settings, while having a message for the generations to come.

As the day winds down and you are ready to go to sleep, say an evening prayer. Count your blessings and contemplate on your life. Some of the readers here may not be Christians, but all of us have had blessings in our lives. If you focus on difficulties of this life, it may be helpful to consider why it took such a tremendous suffering for Jesus to do the work he did.

It looked like Drwal slipped throwing a kick about a minute into the first round and Palhares slapped on the heel hook immediately. Drwal tapped right away, but Palhares kept it on even after the ref tried to pry him off. Another spot that makes the sport look bad. Palhares apologized after the match.

Brown just danced around and didn't seem to want to do anything, as we get another boring fight. Almeida trapped him in a body triangle in the second round, got the choke and Brown tapped out.

Midway through the first round, Diaz started connecting with punches. Markham got knocked down by a knee and Diaz just wailed away on him until the ref stopped it. Diaz looked like a star here, because Markham outweighed him by 30 pounds.

Carwin forced Mir against the cage midway through round one and just unloaded on him with punches. It was just vicious. Mir went down and Carwin didn't let up. The ref had to stop it before someone got killed. And guess who comes to the cage? Brock Lesnar. Lesnar takes the microphone and says that Carwin is wearing a phony belt and that his (Lesnar's) belt was the real title belt. Carwin actually agreed with him. It's on for July 3.

Angry Jesse James mistress Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee rants on Twitter

An angry and defensive Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee took to her Twitter and Facebook pages to tell off critics, friends and former employers.

The former Amish girl and tattoo model, McGee made headlines around the country with her revelation that she was the alleged mistress of Jesse James. She admitted to having the affair while James was married to Oscar award winning actress, Sandra Bullock.

McGee is infamous on Twitter and it seems this annoys the 'bombshell'. McGee left a few angry tweets that started out on Twitter and ended on Facebook.

The tweet directed at tweeters said,

"For all you internet warriors on here talking sh*t...it's easy to place judgement when your sitting behind akeyboard. Get off your God dam high horse, your sh*t don't smell like roses either. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone...in other words F**K YOU."

Part of the reason McGee is so disliked on Twitter is due to the discovery of a photo shoot she did wearing Nazi regalia including a swatiska armband. The photos discovered by TMZ angered many further when they realized that McGee also has a 'W' and a 'P' tattooed on the back of her legs. It's been reported that the letters stand for 'white power' but McGee claims the tats are sexual in nature.

Angry White Boy clothing felt it needed to distance itself from accusations of being aligned with white supremacy and the Nazi movement. That move angered McGee who left the following tweet for the hardcore clothing company.
